Bio
...Rena was born to JosephAllen and SamanthaCaldonia Johnson Reaves and grew up in a farming household in and around MilamCounty, Texas. Her father JosephAllen was a longtime church of Christ preacher as well and her mother was a well-known midwife of their area. On 22 December 1895 Rena married William WILL Sylvanus Ross in ComancheCounty, Texas and it seemed her feet never touched the ground after that. On the 1900Census they were found living at #79FieldStreet in Ward10 of Dallas, a daughter Leiz was born in California in 1907, and by the 1930Census they were found living in BigSpring, Howard, Texas with a Nursery business. Rena and Will were the parents of the following children.. Beulah 1896 KennethCarl 1898 Carl H 1899 EmmettHubert 1902 LesterM 1904 Leslie 1905 a son Ethel Liez 1907 ...my great Aunt Rena died in a nursing home in SanAngelo, Texas of 'chronic brain syndrome' after 6 years and a 'urinary tract infection'....I was drawn to her and her picture because i favor her in the eyes.....
