From Wilkin County Minnesota "In the World War" 1917-1918-1919: JACK J. MOHR, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lambert of Rothsay, entered service February 25, 1918, and trained at Camp Dodge, Iowa, and Camp Logan, Texas. He served in Company I, 131st Infantry, and arrived overseas May 18, 1918. He took part in some of the big fighting and was variously reported missing, died in hospital and killed in action by the War Department. Repeated inquiry has not brought any information as to the cause of death. He was missing October 22, 1918. A native of Nebraska, where he was born in 1889, he had been a resident of this county seven years. He was married to Miss Ethel B. Lambert, who survives him, and was managing his father-in-law's farm when he went into service. He was a member of Rothsay lodge, Independent Order of Oddfellows.
