North Bend Eagle (North Bend, Nebraska) 12 Dec 1957, Thu Page 1 John Fiala Died Thursday, Dec. 5 John Fiala, 81, died Thursday morning at the Schuyler hospital. Mr. Fiala was born May 16, 1876. He was a retired farmer and a native of Morse Bluff and was a member of the ZCBJ lodge. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Balija of Bridgman, Mich.; also a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers. Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at the ZCBJ hall in Morse Bluff. The Rev. H.H. Houchin officiated. Music was furnished by Miss Bozina Novotny and George Novotny. Pallbearers were Edward Franta, Frank Lodi, Albin Cihacek, Phillip Nesladek, Alvin Mares and Anton Hobza. Burial was in Killian cemetery.
