Bio

Son of Thomas and Veronica (Chlopek) Shotkosk. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Edward Catholic Church in St. Edward. Robert attended elementary school at Vohres Valley District 12 and graduated from St. Edward High School. Robert farmed with his family and later worked for Lindsay Manufacturing. He then worked for Christensen Construction until 1986 when a back injury prevented him from working any longer. Robert did continue to help out on the farm when he could. He enjoyed fishing, especially for catfish, and in his younger years he enjoyed hunting. Robert was a member of the St. Edward Catholic Church in St. Edward. He is survived by 2 sons: Cody and Cory of St. Edward, NE; a grandson Brenden of St. Edward; his mother Veronica Shotkoski of St. Edward; siblings: Patricia Luther and husband Terry Detter of Columbus, NE; Kenneth of Albion; Bill of St. Edward; Dan and wife Madelyn of St. Edward; Peggy Wonderly and husband Jim of Wray, CO; Theresa Loughman of Albion, NE; along with several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his father Thomas, his grandparents, and his sister Susan.
