Bio
Daughter of double 2nd cousins William English Anderson and Hannah [English], she had 8 grandparents living in "Texas" before 1820. Second wife of Eugene Lavarsha Nunnelee by whom she bore 8 chn: daughters Leighton Eddy [Nunnelee] wife of George Ernest Key; Annie Caroline [Nunnelee] wife of Stinson Carroll Pruitt; Lera Bess [Munnelee] wife of John Harper Williams; Pearl died as a child; Cora "Corine" Delana wife of Harry Lado and sons William Ray Nunnelee; Gordon Richard died as a child; and my grandfather Otis Lee Nunnelee. All of her chn were born, raised and died in Tx. She is buried in the "Nunnelee plot" near the large marker for her grandson Eugene Lester Nunnelee and next to the unmarked grave of her daughter Mrs Corine [Nunnelee] Lado and son in law Harry Lado. Her oldest daughter Mrs Leighton Eddy [Nunnelee] Key and her nephew William Earl Nunnelee are buried in unmarked graves close by. She helped to raise my mother and her sister after their parents divorced in 1926 and they always spoke of her with the greatest love, admiration, and devotion. Her small gravemarker bears the name "C.E. Nunnelee".
