Wife of Charles William Nations ∼ Sollie was born several months after her father, Solomon, died, and she was named for him. Her father served in the CSA , Co.D, 1st Ms. Regiment Lt. Artillery, and died a few months after the war ended. After her husband's death, his widow along with other family and friends, moved from Mississippi to Texas. Sollie's mother, Elizabeth Covington Sproles, applied for and was awarded a Confederate widow's pension by Texas (pension appl.# 04049) based on her husband's CSA service. Solomon was the brother of my g-g-grandfather.
