Mrs. Palmer ATHENS - Services for Mrs. Jennie Palmer, 88, Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in Croley Funeral Home chapel in Gilmer with the Rev. J.C. Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery. Mrs. Palmer died Friday in an Athens hospital after a long illness. She was born May 16, 1891, in Louisiana. She was a member Glade Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, W.D. Palmer of Oklahoma and T.L. Palmer of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Maevon Grimes of Athens and Mrs. Virginia Langdon of Longview; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
