CAMDEN, Ark. — Larry Gene Hazal, 69, of Camden, Ark., was born March 19, 1941, in Celeste and passed away July 24, 2010, at Ouachita County Medical Center. He was salutatorian at Celeste High School in 1959 and attended Texas A&M University and was a retired professor from SAU Tech. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Eugene Hazel, and his wife, Susan A. Hazal. He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Dowell and Ginger Ferrell both of Hope, Ark.; a sister, Mary Lou Hazal and mother Eupha Smith Hazal, both of Greenville; grandchildren Jeremy Warren of Camden, Ark., and Jerret Warren, Autumn Harrison, Will Hartness, Evan Hartness, J.D. Ferrell and Ben Ferrell all of Hope, Ark.; 11 great grandchildren and numerous friends. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pike Cemetery in Celeste. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, Ark.
