Bio
One of six children of Amanda and Hugh Hoy Houston. His siblings included: James Nace, William A., Hugh, Fred, and Ianthie Louise. He married Almeda Miller on June 24, 1906 in Texas. By 1910, they were living on a farm they owned in Liberty, Oklahoma (Cleveland County). The household included: John N., age 24, born in Texas, farmer; Allie L. B. , age 24, born in Texas, married once for three years, one child; and Clifton P. N., age 2, born in Texas. In 1920, they were living on a farm they owned in Lexington, Oklahoma (Cleveland County). The household included: John N, age 36, farmer, born in Texas; Allie E., age 36, born in Texas; Clifton, age 11, born in Texas; Ray C., age 5, born in Oklahoma; and Marie, age 1 9/12, born in Oklahoma. In 1930, they were still on their farm in Lexington. The household included: John, age 45, married at age 23; Allie, age 46, married at age 24; Cecil, age 15; Katie M, age 12; and Clifford W. Daniels, a lodger, age 16, born in Oklahoma with a father born in Alabama.
