Bio
Elizabeth is my 2nd Gr-Grandmother. The fifth of nine children born to George Gancer & Mary (French) Snider of VA and TN, late of Brown Co IN, Elizabeth was what today would be considered, a common-law wife of William Snider, son of Hermann G Schneider [Herman Snider] of Germany & his wife Elizabeth Bowman of Somerset Co PA, both later of Spencer Co KY. They were together almost 40 years and had ten known children, seven sons and three daughters. Many thanks to Diana for the tombstone photo. Her photo assured the accuracy of vital dates. Many thanks to Deann for posting the court statement made by Eliza Jane (Snider) Baughman, daughter of Elizabeth's husband William and his first wife Jane Evans.
