Louis R. Preuit Rites Set Monday Funeral services for Louis Ruedolph Preuit, 82, of 815 Baylor Street, will be held at Welch Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. on Monday morning, with the Rev. William C. Howland Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Mr. Preuit, a retired carpenter, passed away at a local hospital on Saturday following a lengthy illness. He had resided in Longview for the past ten years. In addition to his widow, Mrs. Barbara Allen Pirtle Preuit of Longview, he is survived by three brothers, Claude Richard Preuit and Ross Franklin Preuit, both of Amarillo, and Paul Arthur Preuit of Santa Ana, California; three step-sons, B. F. Shepherd of Longview, Ronnie J. Shepherd of Lubbock, and Don E. Shepherd of San Bernardino, California; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe Keevil, O. D. Aldridge, E. E. Stokes, Bill Tucker, James Curtis, and L. R. Blackmon.
