Bio

Passed away June 10. Ted Barta was born July 29, 1922 in Caldwell, TX. He served in the Pacific Campaign as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in WWII. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ann; his sons Jerry, Mike, John, Joe and Steve; daughters Maggie and Betsy; his sister Dorothy; and 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Jane and granddaughter Stephanie. There will be a visitation and Rosary at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home in Dallas at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 13th. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Monday, June 14th at 10 a.m. Interment, 2:00 p.m., Calvary Hill Cemetery, with Ft. Hood U.S. Army Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
