"Jacob G. Tomsicek Services Conducted Saturday at Wahoo Funeral services for Jacob G. Tomsicek, 75, of Colon were conducted at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo Saturday with the Rev. Joseph A. Mroczowski officiating. Tomsicek, a farmer who had resided in the community all his life, died Thursday in Wahoo. He was born July 25, 1897 at Weston. Survivors include his widow, Mary; son, Eugene of Colon; brothers, Emil of Lincoln; William of Reseda, Calif.; and Edward of Ithaca; sisters, Mrs. George (Rose) Pop and Mrs. Joseph (Lillian) Pop, both of Wahoo, and Mrs. Marie Ohnoutka of Lincoln. Casket bearers were Thomas Rezac, Milo Bartek, Richard Rezac, William Brabec, Stanley Kucera and Marvin Tomsicek. Interment was in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo was in charge of arrangements." - Wahoo Newspaper; August 3, 1972
