Bio
Mary Louise (Scott) Cooper, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2009. She was born August 9, 1927, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Winfield and Francis Scott. Mary Lou shared a close relationship with her three brothers, W.H. "Bill" Scott, Robert L. "Bob" Scott, and W.B. "Teen" Jr. Scott, all previously passed. On August 30, 1946, she was united in marriage to W.C. "Dub" Cooper in Weatherford, Texas. Mary Lou lived in Granbury for much of her life, where she was a homemaker and loving mother to her five children. Mary Lou moved to Comanche in 1987, where she was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She cherished her friendships, many of which had lasted since childhood. Mary Lou loved church hymns and found great joy in witnessing to others. She was an excellent cook, always willing to share a meal with those who came by to visit. A member of her family said, "We will all miss her kindness, gentle nature, unforgettable laugh, and fabulous cooking." Mary Lou is survived by four loving daughters and their husbands, Cherry and Duane Ogle of Comanche, Debbie and Doyle Hightower of Comanche, Cindy and Bryan Ganske of Fort Worth, and Carole and Wayne Wallace of Goldthwaite; adoring grandchildren, Kym Ogle, Scott Ganske, Lani Hallford, Dustin Ogle, Laura Jones, Coby Cooper, David Ganske, Holly Lyon, Brandi Bramlett, Chelsey Smith; daughter-in-law, Barbara Cooper of Belton; sister-in-law, Ann Scott of Granbury; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Along with her parents and brothers, she was preceded in death by her only son, B.W. "Buddy" Cooper; and granddaughter, Deanna Cooper. A private family funeral for Mary Louise Cooper was held on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Mary Lou was laid to rest at Gardens of Memory in Comanche, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts or donations may be given to Eastside Baptist Church, in order to continue doing the Lord's work.
