Bio

Services for Louise Helmers, 82, of Lubbock will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Dr. Ken Horn officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be today from 4:30-6 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Louise died March 8, 2008. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Donald Helmers; son, Daniel Helmers; granddaughter Shelly Abram; and two brothers, Larry and Roy. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Burnett and Lynn Mills; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Louise was born and raised in Aspermont, Texas. She met her husband in Lubbock where she settled and raised her family. Louise worked for Western Motor Parts and Fenner Tubbs for many years.
