Bio
James Adrian Northcutt was born July 10, 1859, son of Adrian Benson Northcutt and Nancy Caroline Dodson. James married three times. On January 5, 1882, in Fayette, Alabama, James A. Northcutt married Nancy Elizabeth (Ham's) Harris and had one son, James Walter. Nancy died in 1883. On 13 December 1885 , Jas A Northcutt married Martha Caroline "Mattie" McCollum in Fayette County, AL. They had Clyde and Velma before her untimely death. On January 18, 1893 , in Fayette, Alabama, James married Nancy's sister, Mary Melissa Harris, and had at least eight children, including: Guy Belton, Lena, Bessie Lee, Ruth Irene, Vera, Carrie, Mable and Victor Cruse. Appears Mable was the first child born in Oklahoma in 1907. James died in July 1920 in Washington, Oklahoma (McClain County) and was buried in the Lexington Cemetery.
