Bio

Harry became an oil drilling contractor and producer. He pioneered the Kansas oil fields near El Dorado, Florence and Hutchinson and was active in the Wherry Pool which started Hutchinson's oil play. He made his headquarters in Augusta, Kansas more than twenty years before moving to Hutchinson in 1937. He made his home at 125 Hyde Park. He married twice: 1) to Grace Margaret Longwell 2) to Twila Waite He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge.
