Helen Snider, 84, of McKinney, Texas passed away June 28, 2010. She was born December 27, 1925, in McKinney to Bush and Faye (Gallaher) Dotson. Helen married William Snider on May 19, 1944; they were married in McKinney by Bill's grandfather Rev. Joe Ben Snider. She was recently a member of Oak Baptist Church. Helen was a realtor in Bossier City, Louisiana for 15 years. She was a very loving and devoted mother to her three daughters, and she was actively involved in their activities. She was a Camp Fire leader for 10 years in Bonham and McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Bill Snider of McKinney; daughters, Dianne Erwin and husband Tim of Paris, Texas, Patti Rainey and husband Roland of Allen, Texas, and Susan Snider of Shreveport, Louisiana; grandchildren, Stephanie Dahms, Brett Williams, Scott Erwin, Amy Erwin Barclay, Colin LePore; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, L.C. Dotson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove in McKinney. Family and friends were invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book on Tuesday.
