Joseph Solomon, known as Joe, was the son of Samuel & Sarah A. (Gilliam) Russell. He married Amelia Frances Tollett in Sebastian Co, AR on July 20, 1876. Amelia was born in DeQueen, Sevier Co, AR on Jan. 5, 1858. They had the following children: 1. Roxie Della b: April 7, 1876 in Hope, AR 2. James Lafayette b: Dec. 25, 1878 in AR 3. Joseph Bucannon "Buck" b: March 28, 1889 in Waldron, Scott Co, AR 7. Jacob Houston b: Dec. 19, 1892 in Farmersville, Collin, Co, TX 8.
