Daughter of David Nelson and Mary Thomas Gilliland Pratt of Missouri and Kentucky. She married John William Vieregge Feb 22, 1906 in Texas after his first wife, Julia Bassey, died in 1903. Clara and John had the following children: John Otto Vieregge - born 1907 George Sylvester Vieregge 1908-1987 Andrew Leslie Vieregge 1910-1978 David Henry Vieregge 1911-2000 Arthur Vieregge 1914-before 1920 Charles Emmit Vieregge 1916-1991 Elmer Lee Viergge 1919-1998 John William died in 1947 at age 79 in Lubbock. Clara died in 1956 in Lubbock at age 75 and is buried next to John.
