Bio

Wanda "June" Sears completed her journey on earth and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010. June was a homemaker most of her life. She loved spending time outdoors whether it be gardening, picking pecans or enjoying the fresh air. One thing she loved dearly was having her family over for Thanksgiving and Christmas each year. June was born April 2, 1933, in Hagansport, Texas, to Johnnie Austin and Mary David Dyer. June married Bill Sears on March 29, 1954. She was preceded in deathby her parents; husband; sons Robert Dale Sears and Charles Wayne Sears; sisters Bobbie and Marion; and brothers Billy Jack, Emerson, Dick, George and Burt Dyer. Survivors include her children, Danny Sears and wife Karen, Vernon Sears and Laurie Anderson; daughter-in-law Joyce Sears, all of Carlsbad; seven grandkids Melissa Nuehring of Sterling City, Natosha Sears and Josh Sears of Grape Creek, Janna Naylor, Daniel Sears, Justin Sears and Christi Sears of Carlsbad; and six great-grandkids; one sister, Marie Walcott of San Angelo; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Family visitation is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in Dawson, Texas. The family would like to say a special thank you to Theresa Lewis and staff from VistaCare of San Angelo for their help and support, along with Lauri Anderson. We could not have done it without you.
