Bio

Bert, age 57, died at a hospital in Topeka. He was the son of John Austin and Mary (David) Dyer. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Oskaloosa for 12 years. He married Virginia Moore on April 13, 1968, at Vinland. Survivors include his wife, his children, John Moore, Jeralyn Lewis, Julie Gordon, and Joyce Day, his siblings, Emerson Dyer, Billy Dyer, Katherine Franklin, Marie Wallcott, June Sears, and Bobby Marion, and 11 grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Calvary Baptist Church in Valley Falls. Cremation has taken place.
