Bio

Ben R. Grupa, 82, of Anderson and Houston passed away Friday, May 4, 2007. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota on Sunday, May 6. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson, at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7 with the Rev. Sikorski officiating. He was born on April 7, 1925 in Anderson, Texas, son of William and Hattie Grupa. Mr. Grupa loved his family, life, farming and the outdoors. He briefly served in the US Navy. Mr. Grupa was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. Mr. Grupa is survived by his wife, Annie Lee of Houston; daughters and sons-in-law, Delores & Bill of Houston and Susan & Ronnie of New Waverly; sister, Josephine Rubach of Houston; brother, Floyd Grupa of Shiro and three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
