Bio

Leon Michael Grupa, 89, passed away on January 24, 2006, in Houston. Leon was born January 25, 1916, to William and Hedwig Grupa in Anderson, Texas. He served honorably in World War II in the European theatre and later, worked for the Houston Metro Bus Company for 34 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid gardener. Leon is survived by his wife, Zora, his sister Josephine Rubach, brothers, Ben and Floyd, his son, Leon Michael Grupa, Jr. and wife Martha, and daughter Linda, and three grandchildren.
