Per obit from the Kaufman Herald: Mrs. Meally L. Clayton, 94, of Kaufman, TX, died May 27, 2010, at Presbyterian Hospital, Kaufman, TX. Mrs. Meally was born in East Texas October 30, 1915. She married John Thomas "J.T." Clayton. Meally and J.T. moved around Texas before coming to settle in Kaufman County, Texas. Here, they worked a farm and had their own cleaning and yard maintenance business for several years. Mrs. Meally could always be counted on to speak her mind. She was determined to do things her way and most of the time she did. Ms. Meally is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.T. and her niece, Virginia Dobecka. She is survived by her nephews Henry Clayton and his wife Geneva; James T. "Bud" Clayton; Edward Crady; Henry Hanson and John Paul Hanson. She is also survived by a niece, Nora Daughtery and many grand nieces and grand nephews. A Graveside Service conducted by Anderson- Clayton Brothers Funeral Home, Kaufman, Texas was held at the Mount Olive Cemetery in Scurry, Texas, Saturday, May 29.
