LAST RITES HELD FOR SARGENT FARMER HELD DEC. 16; BURIAL AT ORD Anton Benben, 72, died Dec. 13 at Burwell Community Hospital. He had been in failing health from injuries received in an automobile accident last September. Final services were conducted by the Rev. Joseph J. Szynal and Rev. Reisdorff at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 16, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Sargent. Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery with the Rev. Stanley Gorak officiating. Mr. Benben, son of George and Mary Benben, was born Dec. 12, 1897, at Stuart. A few years later, he moved to Elyria and in 1921 settled at Sargent where he farmed until the time of his death. He and Emma Brim were united in marriage April 12, 1920, at Geranium. Survivors include his wife of Sargent; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Sasek, also of Sargent; five grandsons; one brother, Pete Bednowicz of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Josie Dlugosh of Geneva, Mrs. Sophia Janus of Ord, Mrs. Elizabeth Greenwalt of Elyria and Mrs. Verna Osinski of Barrington, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
