The Carnegie Herald March 25, 1956 Hamilton Funeral Held Monday At Methodist Church Funeral services were held Monday in the Methodist church for Mrs. Martha Hamilton, a resident of Carnegie since 1915. Hrs. Hamilton had been in ill health for several years and passed away at Hobart, March 25 at the age of 85. Martha E. Shelton was born January 13, 1871, in Alabama. She was married to D.H. Hamilton in 1892 near Headrick. Mr. Hamilton preceded her in death in 1948. She was an active member of the Methodist church as long as her health permitted. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. D. Coulter of Carnegie and two brothers, George Shelton of Stockton, Calif., and Tom Shelton of Bristow, also, by a number of nieces and nephews.
