Bio

Fae Marie Westfall was born on February 18, 1905, in Benton County, Missouri to Lawrence Lee (1880-1958) and Nora Davison (1883-1939). She was the second born child and had four brothers: Byron Lee (1903-1972), Bertis Alfred (1907-2007), Robert Curtis (1911-?), and Donald Edward (1919-1983). She married Clem Olynthus (C.O. or Olen) Moon (1907-1970), son of Walter B. (1886-1939) and Maggie I. (Cage)(1887-1954) Moon, on May 25, 1938. They were blessed with three children; a son, Karl Dean Moon (1939-2002), and two daughters. They raised their family in Hobbs, NM with all three children graduating from Hobbs High School. After her husband's death in 1970, Fae moved to the Phoenix, AZ area to live near her youngest daughter where they enjoyed several years of companionship while going to church, shopping, eating out and just hanging together. Next she moved to Midland, TX to be near her other daughter and again enjoyed living near family and grandchildren. Her last move was back to Hobbs, NM where Karl, his 2nd wife and grandchildren enjoyed sharing holidays and other special times with her. Fae was a lady with many talents, she sewed for her girls, made quilt tops, was an excellent cook, loved the Lord and served as a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church, Hobbs, NM for many years. She is respected and remembered as an outstanding woman by all who knew her.
