John E. Gist, 75 passed away March 15, 2004 at Yuma Regional Medical Centr.He was born January 3, 1929, in Bard, California. John is survived by his son Bobby E. Gist of Winterhaven, California; brothers, Walter(Evelyn) Gist, of Yuma, Roger F(Leola) Gist, of Winterhaven, David L. Gist, of Phoenix and Bob G.(Sharon), of Yuma; sisters, Lena(Hoyt) Coburn, of Winterhaven and Betty Coburn of Emmett, Idaho. He is also survived by two nieces and eight nephews. Preceding John in death are his wife, June Coburn Gist, mother Ruby Rice Gist, father Lee E. Gist, and brother Earl L. Gist. Visitation will take place at Johnson Mortuary, Thursday, March 18, 2004, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Friday March 19, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverand John Garnica officiating. Final resting place will be Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
