Mrs. Anna (John) Fletcher, 83, died Friday morning in the Loup City hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Steele Funeral Chapel in Loup City with burial Monday at Custer, S.D. A Loup City resident at the time of her death, Mrs. Fletcher was born at Arcadia July 31, 1885 to Jim and Clara (Winter) John. She grew up there. Her first husband, Claude Gould, preceded her in death and on July 2, 1965, she was married to James Fletcher. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Arthur Gould of Custer, S.D., and Robert Gould of Gardena, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Lily Townsend of Gardena, Mrs. Elsie Harm of Monroe, Ore., and Mrs. Beulah French of Aberdeen, S.D.; two brother, Edward John of Denver, Colo., and Lawrence John of Gering; and four sister, Mrs. Liza Slocum of Kearney, Mrs. Laura Anderson of Caldwell, Idaho, Mrs. Amelia Hill of Arcadia, and Mrs. Fern Hurlburt of Loup City. --Courtesy of Ord Quiz—
