Bio

Died of "congested lungs" or pneumonia. The tintype which contains his only known likeness was passed down from Eliza Cottle Baker to Ralph Dixon Love. Sixth of eight sons born to Zebulon Pike and Lydia Dancer Cottle. His grave is unknown as many monuments in the early days of Alum Creek Cemetery were inscribed on the soft sandstone which did not stand up against the test of time.
