Donald L. Reinhold, KØGOR, 84, passed peacefully unto our Heavenly Father on May 20 2014 at his home in Lincoln. He was born in Hooper on Sept. 9, 1929. He was a son, brother, husband and father. He became an Eagle Scout and had a profound positive influence on several young men as a scoutmaster. Don married his high school sweetheart Wandalee at age 18. He served our country proudly in the Air Force where he developed a devotion for ham radio and returned home as a veteran of foreign wars. Don earned a degree in engineering at the University of Nebraska and his personal and professional career was vivid and fulfilling, from helping to design the first Atlas missile, to raising a family and finally retiring from the gas company after 30 years of service. Don spent his retirement years consulting on various projects, spending time with Wandalee, and his beloved fellow members of the ham radio operators organization. His sense of humor and gentle nature was infectious. You made a difference that endures. We love you. Don's family includes Wandalee (wife), Dale and Diane (children), Kala, Alex, Ryan, Rob, Nathan, Brennan (grandchildren), Gaige (great grandson). Memorial service: 10 am Friday, May 23, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln. Inurnment to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Arrangements by Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
