Fremont Tribune Duane Koplin Funeral services for Duane A. Koplin, 66, 304 Prospect Ave., will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Mr. Koplin died of cancer Wednesday at his home. He owned Koplin Radiator Service, 1010 S. Broad St. Mr. Koplin was born Aug. 23, 1921, in Fremont. He was raised here and graduated from Fremont Senior High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at an ordnance plant in Pueblo, Colo., after the war and in 1952 returned to Fremont where he joined Koplin Radiator Service with his father. He was a member and past master of Fremont Masonic Lodge No. 15, A.F. & A.M. He also was a charter member of the Inglewood Volunteer Fire Department, served on the Platte Township and Dike boards, had been chairman of the Inglewood Village Board of Trustees and was an Inglewood marshal. Mr. Koplin married Patricia King on July 21, 1956, in Sioux City, Iowa. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Nellie Koplin of Fremont; a son, Glenn of Fremont; a daughter, Mrs. Shane (Pamela) Zoucha of Fremont; two brothers, Eugene of Omaha and Elwin of Broomfield, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. James (Darlene) O'Neal of Perry, Ga.; a step-sister, Mrs. Donna Holtz of Fremont; and three grandchildren. Visitation is 3 to 9 p.m. today at Ludvigsens Mortuary. The Rev. J. Graydon Wilson will officiate Saturday's service. Masonic services will follow the funeral service at the mortuary and are open to the public. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
