Helen Picha, 94, of West, Texas, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010, in Waco. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Helen Stella was born in Anderson, Texas, to the late Joseph H. and Pearl (Gorney) Klodginsky. The family moved to West in 1929, where she attended St. Mary's School. On June 10, 1946, she was united in marriage to Anton J. Picha in West. Helen was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West and the K.J.Z.T. Society No 11. Helen enjoyed sewing and quilting. For the past ten years, she has been a resident at West Rest Haven. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 2, 1974; brothers, John Klodginsky and Tony Klodginsky; and sisters, Alice Foyt and Mary Hubik.
