Mrs. Alice Foyt, 79, of West died Friday morning, May 15, 1987 at the whitney Nursing Home. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Saturday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, West, with Msgr. Ray Widacki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mrs. Foyt was born April 26, 1908 in Anderson, Texas, and had lived in West since 1929. She was married to Anton Foyt September 4, 1933 in West; he died December 31, 1975. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar Society, and was a member of KJZT Society No. 31. Survivors include a son, Dan Foyt of Longview; a daughter, Dorothy Harris of Austin; two sisters, Helen Picha and Mary Hubik, both of West; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were David Foyt, Danny Foyt, Darren Foyt, Julius Hubik, Leroy Harris and Robert Kostecka, Sr. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 97, No. 21, Edition 1, Thursday, May 21, 1987, page 7
