Obituary The Corsicana Daily Sun Aug 5, 1976 Joseph Copeland Price Sep 23, 1882 - Aug 1, 1976 Services were last Tuesday at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel for J. C. Price, 93, resident of Kerens, who died Sunday at Evergreen Nursing Home. The Rev. David Hale and the Rev. Van Houser officiated with burial following at Emmett Cemetery. Price was a native of Emmett, former resident of Kerens, retired farmer, former custodian of Corsicana High School, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Kerens. Survivors include three sons, E.C. Price of Athens, W.H. Price of Corsicana, and K.A. Price of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Laura Ware of Houston, Mrs. Joe Gunn of Abilene, and Mrs. Willie Dean West of Kerens; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Warren of Athens and Mrs. Lela Terry of New Mexico; a brother, John Price of Tahoka; and a number of nieces and nephews.
