Ida Gunn, 96, of Abilene, passed away Sunday, February 03, 2013. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction on North's Funeral Home. Ida was born on January 27, 1917 to Joseph and Mary Price in Irene, Texas. She was raised and graduated from high school in Corsicana, Texas. She married Joe B. Gunn in 1941. They lived in Washington, D.C. and Florida before moving to Abilene in 1961. She retired from First National Bank as Vice President in 1979. Ida was a member of Altrusa Club and she was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister, and two children. She is survived by three grandchildren: Marla Watson and husband, Tom, of Goldthwaite, Texas, Scott Blake and wife, Sara, of Magnolia, Texas, and Mitzi Maynard and husband, Mark, of San Antonio, Texas; Eight Great-Grandchildren, Four Great-Great-Grandchildren; sister, Dean West of Corsicana, Texas, and several beloved nieces and nephews to include Charline Standly and Raymond McNutt of Abilene, and Sybil Raszewski of Clyde.
