Bio

The Carnegie Herald, Wed., Oct 20, 1948 Rites Wednesday For Mrs. Carter, Pioneer Resident Services for Mrs. H.G. Carter, early day settler of the community northwest of Carnegie,m were at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon in the Firs Baptist church. Rev. Wallace Tooman, Hydro, conducted the funeral and was assisted by Rev. Frank Elkins, Carnegie pastor. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery. Altho Mrs. Carter has been in poor health for several years, she was seriously ill only a day before her death. She was 80 years old. She ad lived on the home place north of the New Harmony church since 1901. Mr. Carter died July 27, 1944. Nancy Ann Mullins was born Feb. 20, 1868, in Pope county, Ark., and died at her home northwest of Carnegie Sunday evening, Oct. 17, 1948. She grew to young womanhood in her native state and was married to H.G.
