Bio

Florence Richter, 89, of Eagle Lake passed away Thursday, April 11, 2002 at her residence. Born in Rosenberg May 21, 1912, she was the daughter of Edward and Ethel Rogers Konesheck. A resident of Eagle Lake most of her life, she was a graduate of Eagle Lake High School. She married Clement Leo Richter in Eagle Lake on October 22, 1935 and was a member and faithful servant of the First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake. She will be long remembered for her devotion to family, friends and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clement (May 30, 1992); sister, Lottie Tate; brothers, David and Chester Konesheck. Survivors include her children, Karen Richter of Madisonville and Dick and wife, JaNene, of Seguin; grandchildren, Krystal Parrish and husband, Walter; Russell Richter and wife, Dianna; Tim Richter and wife, Laura; five great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Charlene Konesheck of Eagle Lake, Arlene Penney of Lake Jackson; brother-in-law, Tony Richter of Lake Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and loved ones. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday April 13, from the Chapel of Dulany Funeral Home in Eagle Lake with Rev. Brent Beasley, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Eagle Lake, officiating. Her niece, Carol Joyce Ripper, served as organist. Dulany Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Russell and Tim Richter; Walter Parrish; Frank Tate; Bobby Stieber; and John Konesheck. Sympathy is extended to the family in their loss. [Eagle Lake Headlight, April 18, 2002]
