Bio

Clement Leo Richter son of Joseph and Mary (Meismer) Richter. Clement Leo Richter married Florence Konesheck on October 22,1935. __________________________________________________________ Clement L. Richter, age 83, of Eagle Lake, passed away Saturday, May 30,1992, at 12:25 a.m. at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Houston, following a lengthy illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Colorado County. Mr. Richter was born near Garwood October 20, 1908, to Joseph and Mary Meismer Richter. He grew up there and attended local schools. He married Florence Konesheck in Mentz on October 22, 1935. In 1938 he moved to Eagle Lake where he began a 38 year career with Universal Motor Company. He served as shop foreman until retirement in 1973. He will long be remembered for his devotion and faithful service to his Lord, family, community and employers. Survivors include his devoted wife of 56 years, Florence; daughter Karen Richter of Detroit, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Dick and JaNene Richter of New Braunfels; sister, Arlean Penney and brother, Tony Richter, both of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Krystal and Ric Nowell and Tim and Laura Richter all of New Braunfels, Russell Richter, Plano; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and loved ones. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday,June 1,1992, in Dulany Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Mann, pastor of First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake, officiating. Graveside service and interment followed in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Tim and Russell Richter, Ric Nowell and nephews Frank Tate and Russell and John Konesheck. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to either the memorial fund in care of First Baptist Church or Eagle Lake Community Hospital Auxiliary.
