Bio

Services for Mrs. J.W. Bradbury, 51, wife of a Houston real estate broker, were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in the Waller Funeral Home at Waller. The Rev. Cary Brown of Waller and the Rev. W.E. Howard of Victoria were to officiate and burial will be in Waller. Mrs. Bradley died Tuesday night at her home, 1335 West Gray Avenue, after a heart attack. Both she and her husband were convalescing at their home after heart attacks. Mr. Bradbury was stricken Feb. 10 and the night before he was released from the hospital on March 1, Mrs. Bradbury suffered a first attack while visiting him. A native of Ellis County and the former Ann Purvis, Mrs. Bradbury was reared at Waller. She belonged to the Baptist Church there. She and Mr. Bradbury were married in 1940. They had lived here 15 years. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. M.A. Schmidt, Victoria; her mother, Mrs. W.T. Purvis, Waller; sisters, Mrs. Alice Martin, Waller, Mrs. T.J. Jones, Tomball, Mrs. Frank Supak, California, Mrs. W.A. Traverso, Baytown, Mrs. Gilbert Meinen, Hempstead; brother, Albert Purvis, Magnolia; three grandchildren.
