Bio

WISNER (Special) — Funeral services for Thomas W. Carter, 57, of Wisner, were held at 3 p.m. today at South Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Dunn officiating. Burial was in South Central Cemetery under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Carter, a deacon at South Central Church, died Tuesday morning at his home after a brief illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Tena Newman Carter of Wisner; one daughter, Mrs. Rosalee Stephens of Houston, Tex.; one son, Charles Carter of Wisner; one sister, Mrs. Marie Hill of Ellisville, Miss.; and five grandchildren.
