Bio

Aubrey E. Chapman Funeral Services for Aubrey E. Chapman, 83, of Dallas, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, in Tapp Funeral Chapel with Bill Patterson officiating. Burial was in Ridgeway Cemetery with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Mr. Chapman died at 6:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born in Emblem on Sept. 6, 1911, the son of Tom and Mollie Coffman Chapman. He married Mavis Oleta (Dolly) Wilhite on Aug. 29, 1932, in Hugo, Okla. She survives. Mr. Chapman was a retired rancher and had resided in Dallas, Arlington and Buffalo most of his life. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Other survivors include a son, Richard Chapman of Longview; a daughter, Pat Chapman of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by a son, Larry Chapman, in 1969.
