DARRYL JOSEPH VINKLAREK YOAKUM - Darryl Joseph Vinklarek, age 47, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 10, 1960 to Joseph John and Aliene Lee Vinklarek. He worked 19 years for H-E-B and was district supervisor for Schubert Distributing in Seguin for eight years until his illness caused his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Yoakum Knights of Columbus, and KJZT Society Number 1. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Bridget Ann Pekar Vinklarek; daughters, Jessica Lynn Vinklarek and Lauren Elizabeth Vinklarek; son, Derrick Joseph Vinklarek; brothers, David Vinklarek of Shiner, Dennis Vinklarek and Daniel Vinklarek, both of Yoakum; and sisters, Iva Lynn Locke of Giddings and Cheryl Patek of De Soto. His father preceded him in death. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
