Bio
John E. Svoboda died at 8:30 o’clock Wednesday night at his home in East Yoakum, after a long and lingering illness. Deceased was 62 years of age at the time of his demise. Besides a wife, deceased is survived by three sons, Joe, Rudolph and Anton Svoboda, and five daughters, Mrs. joe Pustejofsky, Mrs. Jno. Jilek, Mrs. Jno. Jaresh, Misses Katie and Emma Svoboda, all of Yoakum, to mourn his loss. He had been a resident of the Yoakum community for the past twenty years, and was well known, and high esteemed by all with whom he came in contact with. He also carried a life insurance of $2000. Funeral services over the remains were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the family residence, and interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery, Father Heffernan officiating at the obsequies.
