Agnes Culak Obituary Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 17, 2007. AGNES MARCELLA CULAK YOAKUM - Agnes Marcella Culak, age 92, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007. She was born Jan. 15, 1915, in Gonzales County, to the late Jim and Theresa Roznovsky Filipp. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a very sweet person, loved and adored by all who knew her. She married Joe Culak in September 1931. Survivors: daughter, Jo Elaine Yancey and husband Pat of Victoria; sons, Jim Culak and wife Faye of Victoria, Bill Culak and wife Mertes of Yoakum; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by: parents; husband; sisters, Marie Fojtik, Della Stary, Theresa Fawcett, Sophie Filipp; brothers, Ed, Frank, Jim, George, Bill and Allen Filipp; grandson, Billie Joe Yancey; and great-granddaughter, Haley Marie Yancey. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: grandsons, Quentin Yancey, Keith Yancey, Travis Yancey, Michael Culak, Thomas Culak, Christopher Culak, and Joseph Culak; and nephew, James Filipp. Honorary pallbearers: Dr. David Watson, Gerald Clark, Malcolm Clark, David Cavazos, and Randy Zimmerman.
