Husband: Hughey Helton Father: Edward Klein Mother: Lydia (Muesse) Klein ELNORA HELTON Elnora Helton, 74, of Irene died Monday, November 8, 2004, in Irene. She was born January 8, 1930, in Hill County between Irene and Malone, daughter of the late Edward and Lydia Muesse Klein. She moved to Waco as a young child before returning to Frost to attend high school. On June 23, 1947, she married Hughey Helton in Hillsboro. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Irene, where they have lived since. For over 20 years, she was the office manager at Oak Street Medical Center of West. She was an avid gardener, and her interests included dancing with friends at Geneva Hall in Elm Mott. Her greatest love was her family and grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Adeline Pilgrim and Margie Hammons. Survivors include: her husband, Hughey Helton of Irene; two children, Sue Watson and husband, Danny, and Jackie Helton and wife, Janet, all of Lorena; one brother, James Klein and wife, Marcie, of Waco; one sister, Lillian Waits and husband, J. B., of Peoria; one brother-in-law, Park Hammons of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Clint Watson and wife, Cheryl, of Austin, Lora Sykora and husband, Matt, of Hewitt and Misty Bischoff and Jared Bischoff, both of Lorena; three great-grandchildren, Reid Watson of Austin and Brock Sykora and Addison Sykora, both of Hewitt; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Darren Heil of First Baptist Church of Mertens officiating. Burial was at Frost Cemetery. Notes: * The Hillsboro Reporter
