William Wells Obituary William Jay Wells, 83, of Gordon passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2006. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Rosewood Funeral Chapels in Victoria. Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Inez, with full military honors. Memorials: St. Joseph's Catholic Church or Cemetery, Box 337, Inez, Texas 77968. He was born in Cass County to the late William Floyd and Trudis Williams Wells. Mr. Wells was a retired general superintendent for Ensearch, formerly known as Lone Star Gas. He was a veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Helen Wentrcek, and brother, Floyd Ray Wells. Survivors: His wife of 60 years, Margaret Tater Wells; and sister, Frances Ann Evans of Linder. Published by Star-Telegram on Jan. 19, 2006.
