Rufus Woodie Dill, 77, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, in Brownfield. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Shady Oaks Church of God with burial in Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brownfield Funeral Home. Rufus married Ava Gay Ruark on November 14, 1941 in Seminole, TX. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ava Gay Dill of Brownfield; sons, Rick Dill (Kathy) of San Angelo, Jackie Dill (Earlene) of Hobbs, N.M., and Lynn Dill (Nedra) of Denver City; brothers, Jave Van Dill of Andrews and S.M. Dill and G.W. Dill, both of Brownfield; sisters, Bertha Boling of Stephenville and Clydos Ann Jowers of Brownfield.
