Grand Island Daily independent 23 April 1976 p. 2 Loup City: Mrs. Marian M. Obermiller, 61, of rural Loup city died Thursday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Apfel-Butler Geddes Funeral Home in Grand Island with the Rev. Leon Zimmerman of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Loup city officiating. Burial will be in Grand Island Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Obermiller was born June 25, 1914, at Philadelphia, Pa., to Wayne and Lillian Warnick Morris. She received her education at Media, Pa., and in a Bible college in Pennsylvania. On Auguast 2, 1958, she married Irvine Obermiller at Litchfield. They made their home on a farm near Loup city. Mrs. Obermiller was employed as a secretary bookkeeper at the Cornhusker Ordnance Plant and later with the Head Start Program in Loup city before retiring. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge at Litchfield, American Legion Auxiliary and secretary of District Four School board of Education. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Glenn Barnett of Norfolk, Va., David Barnett of Lincoln and John Obermiller of Lincoln; three daughters, Mrs. Nick (Jeanne) Petrillo of New Castle, Del., Mrs. Tom (Deborah) Mroczek of York, and Mrs. Roy (Patricia) Mehmken of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; her mother of Glen Riddle, Pa.; four sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Gladys) Fagley of Darby, Pa., Mrs. Roy (Hilda) Murphy of Chester, Pa., Mrs. Helen Fearins of Lands Downe, Pa., and Mrs. Lois Little of Swarthmore, Pa. She was preceded in death by her father and a grandchild.
